Invisalign

Invisalign is a system of custom-made, computer generated plastic aligners, that serve as a clear alternative to traditional braces. Due to the composition of the materials used to make Invisalign, they are nearly imperceptible to the eye. The treatment requires a series of aligners to be replaced every couple of weeks to make incremental changes to your teeth without the need for metal brackets.

SureSmile

SureSmile is an innovative orthodontic treatment powered by cutting-edge technology. We use a computerized 3-D scan of your mouth to create a precise image and treatment plan. Then, using a robot, we form the wires to use in your braces, ensuring greater accuracy and more effective treatment.

Braces

Traditional braces are wire-based appliances use to correct misaligned teeth or jaws. They work by making incremental adjustments and tightening overtime to bring your teeth to the desired alignment or shape. Since every smile is different, the amount of time and adjustments will vary depending on the need of each patient.

The Orthodontic Treatment Process

Consultation

To begin your consultation, your doctor will conduct a thorough examination of your jaw, teeth, and gums to address any misalignment or bite problems. Our practice offers various smile alignment solutions, so your doctor can carefully select a custom treatment outline that best fits your unique needs.

Impressions and Digital Imaging

X-rays, photographs, mouth measurements, and bite impressions will be taken so that your doctor can properly diagnose the problem and create a tailored treatment plan just for you. After the data has been gathered and assessed, your doctor will then design a custom dental appliance for your smile.

Placement and Fitting

After the dental appliance is created, your doctor will place it in your mouth and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fitting and comfort. Your doctor will then provide you with care and maintenance instructions to keep your appliance and smile in tip-top shape.

Next Steps

Visit your doctor every 4-8 weeks to track progress, adjust your appliance, and follow up with any questions or concerns. While every adult orthodontic journey is unique, treatment can last anywhere from eighteen months to three years.

Have Questions About Orthodontics?

Find Answers Here

Do You Need an Orthodontist?

Orthodontists focus on irregularities in the jaw and teeth. If you’re suffering from malocclusions (bad bites), or pain and discomfort from jaw misalignment or teeth grinding, you might want to talk to an orthodontist. Even some sleep disorders can be treated with orthodontic care. Here are some other issues that orthodontic treatment can fix: overbites, underbites, cross bites, teeth crowding, and crooked teeth.

What Treatment Will I Get from My Orthodontist?

Orthodontics uses dental appliances to realign the teeth and jaws. These dental appliances can be fixed, like braces, or removable retainers and aligners. We specialize in treatment with traditional braces, and newer alternatives like Invisalign and SureSmile braces.

What Are Some Benefits of Orthodontic Treatment?

Besides creating a straighter smile, effective orthodontic treatment can prevent facial muscles and bone from deteriorating. It also preserves the normal growth of your jaw, which can be stunted by misalignment. More benefits include: helping speech impediments, reducing the risk of tooth-related injury, improving your chewing ability, and increased confidence and self-esteem.
